I've had the pleasure of speaking about my research in academic and commercial settings in the U.S. and the U.K. Recently, that’s included providing expert fashion and cultural commentary for ESSENCE, eyewear brand Iolla, the Council for International Fashion Education, and the Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s ‘A Feel For Fashion’ series.

 

I’ve also presented on Black dress cultures for The Association for Dress Historians and Locating Menswear Forum and guest lectured at Southern Methodist University, Baylor University, The University of Texas at Austin and the University of North Texas. In 2022, I was awarded the prestigious Arts & Humanities Research Council fellowship to support my research, specializing in fashion, hip-hop, aesthetics and Black identity.
